Israel Mourns The Death Of One Of Its Founding Fathers
ResumeShimon Peres, a former president and prime minister of Israel, died early this morning from complications from a stroke. He was 93.
Peres's life mirrored the the story of the Jewish state. He helped build the country's military might but later worked for peace, signing the Oslo Accords and sharing the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994.
