NBA star LeBron James is the latest prominent athlete to step into the 2016 presidential race.

James this week wrote an op-ed endorsing Hillary Clinton. James cited, among other things, Clinton's education policies and her support for kids, subjects James has focused on himself in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

Clinton has James on her side, but Donald Trump also has some prominent sports figures in his camp, including Hall of Fame basketball coach Bobby Knight.
