There have been many voices against President Trump's chosen policy of family separation at the U.S. border. From ages 8-12, she helped her parents manage motels, often by taking charge of the front desk. She's now published the kids' book "Front Desk," which was inspired by her own experiences. And, the small town of Abita Springs, Louisiana, is on an ambitious track to switch to 100 percent renewable energy. We speak with Mayor Greg Lemons about his commitment to provide the town with electricity from renewable sources by 2030. That and more, in hour one of Here & Now's June 19, 2018 full broadcast. You can read and hear more at hereandnow.org, follow us on Twitter and join the conversation on Facebook and Tumblr.
