NPR's Kelsey Snell joins us with the latest surrounding the Trump administration's family separation policy, which has been the focus of mounting criticism and has left Congress scrambling. Also, Canadian lawmakers voted yesterday to legalize recreational marijuana across the country. The end of prohibition is spawning a cannabis investment boom north of the U.S. border, as Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd learned on a recent trip to Smiths Falls, Ontario. And for years, Americans have seen malls struggle and close. But Miami-Dade County commissioners approved plans for what would be the largest mall in the country: a sprawling 6 million-square-foot complex complete with 2,000 hotel rooms, an indoor ski slope and a water park. That and more, in hour one of Here & Now's June 20, 2018 full broadcast. You can read and hear more at hereandnow.org, follow us on Twitter and join the conversation on Facebook and Tumblr.
