Curt Nickisch

Curt Nickisch

Curt Nickisch is WBUR's Business and Technology Reporter. He came to Boston in 2006 from South Dakota Public Radio, where he covered everything from cowboy golf courses to a congressman's manslaughter trial.

By developing a knack for conversational business and technology reporting, he has filled in for the public radio business broadcast Marketplace and regularly contributes to that program and National Public Radio shows such as Morning Edition.

A University of Utah graduate, Curt got his start in radio during Fulbright study in Europe, where he reported for Germany's international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle. He's won various journalism awards, including national Edward R. Murrow and Scripps Howard Radio Awards for his documentary on German POWs interned in America.

Curt says public radio reporting is the best job he's had, save fighting forest fires to pay his way through college.
