They may seem odd to you, but these Massachusetts residents swear by them. Here are some of the superstitions New England Patriots fans shared with us ahead of the team's face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.

Christine Slater, of Northbridge, Mass.

We draw the Patriots' Flying Elvis logo on our driveway with sidewalk chalk. One year when there was too much snow, we used spray bottles and food coloring and we sprayed the design on the snow in our front yard, and this tradition has worked every time. Go Pats!

Tom Walsh, of Framingham, Mass.

My friends and I listen to the speech from Al Pacino from 'Any Given Sunday.' Everyone knows all the words, and when it’s finished, we all run in like we’re going to play, but we don’t. We let the Patriots do that, and we do it every week.

Husband and wife, Brad and Carroll Hill, of South Boston

I leave the room when I feel that they’re going south, because I feel it’s me, and I need to escape so that they will do better -- and they have, unfortunately, they have. As soon as I left the room, things got better.

Carroll Hill

We no longer attend Super Bowl parties, because we find they jinx. So we want to have celebrations after the Super Bowl win.

Brad Hill

Anders Hansen, of Florø, Norway

I only wear white jersey[s], shirts or hats. Before Super Bowl XLIX, I didn’t care if I wore blue or white before Super Bowl, but about two or three plays before Butler’s interception in Super Bowl XLIX, I was soaking in sweats. I had to change my jersey. I changed from my old Wes Welker home jersey to my white Brady jersey, and the rest is history.

Sadiya, of Brookline

Me and my two best friends, Jay and Bob, we’ve got to watch the game together no matter what. I think the last three Super Bowls we’ve won, we watched together and even before that. We’ve just got to do it.

Joleen Dooley, of New Hampshire

We started two traditions during last year’s nail-biting Super Bowl that seemed to work. We do them only when the Patriots are losing by a fair amount. First, our 6-year-old son high-fives everyone in the room after every successful Patriots play. Second, my husband breaks out a Patriots hat signed by player Malcolm Butler and puts in on. This year we also built a good luck snowman with a Patriots hat.

Donald Morrison, of Brookline

“My wife sells nail wraps, and last year bought Patriots and Saints wraps. I let her put one on my hand the day of the Super Bowl, and they won. So this year I let her put on two of them. Unfortunately, they didn't work for the Saints."

DJ Benarieb, of Philadelphia

I always watch the Super Bowl alone, and I never wear a Brady jersey. I do wear a Patriots jersey -- but not #12. The two times I wore a Brady jersey, we lost to the Giants.

This segment aired on February 2, 2018.
