Dead Whale Washes Up On Revere Beach

A dead whale has washed up on Revere Beach, state police said in a tweet on Friday morning.

Police said specialists from the New England Aquarium were on their way to investigate.

It is not clear what kind of whale is in the picture, but there have been at least two right whales found dead off the Massachusetts coast this year.

On Friday afternoon, state police said the aquarium confirmed the dead whale was one that washed up on Cohasset earlier in the month.
