The MBTA on Friday evening released footage of the June 11 Red Line derailment that has affected service on the line for more than a month.

The derailment occurred just outside the JFK/UMass Station at 6 a.m. on a Tuesday.

The T released two videos — both about 3:30 long. And in both you can see the derailment, and what looks like a big flash, at about the 1 minute mark.

The MBTA released the videos on the same day it announced a target date of Aug. 15 for signal restoration between Broadway and JFK/UMass stations, what the T says would be "a critical milestone in the effort to return the Red Line to normal service."
