Weekend Weather: It's Still February, But It Feels Like Spring

Though yesterday and this morning were quite cold compared to the temperatures we've been seeing for most of this winter, the weather over the next couple of days will warm again. This weekend will feel a lot like spring, and you should definitely take advantage by spending some time outside, if you can.

We end up having one of these open winters about every seven years. Last year was also relatively snow-free for much of the winter, but it did turn colder and snowy in March. Right now, it looks like we may sail through March without much fanfare — but of course, things can change.

Temperatures today will average in the lower 30s, and that is about 5 to 10 degrees below where we should be this time of the year. We haven't had many days below average, so not a big deal.

High pressure builds in over the weekend and we see a big moderating trend, with readings in the 40s. It gets even milder for Sunday as we hit 50 degrees or higher.

The mild temperatures will continue as we start a new work week, but there will be some rain as we head into Tuesday.
