Safety Concerns At Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station

There has been some troubling news about the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station this week, beginning with an email made public on Tuesday. The email, sent to Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials, said that "the plant seems overwhelmed just trying to run the station."

Federal inspectors have been looking at the systems and staff performance at the plant, which is classified as one of the worst in the US. Pilgrim is set to shut down in May of 2019.
