There was a flurry of activity in Washington Wednesday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asked President Trump to delay his State of the Union speech — set for Jan. 29 — until the federal government shutdown is over.

Twenty-six days into that shutdown, there did not appear to be any deal to reopen the government in the works.

Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey joined us from the Capitol to discuss the shutdown, postponing the address, the ongoing recovery in the Merrimack Valley and more.

Guests
