We're in the middle of "Asthma Peak Week," the worst week of the year for asthma-related complications and one that many asthma sufferers might not even know about. Laura Levis was one of those people.

On Sept. 16, 2016, Levis suffered a particularly severe asthma attack, and when she walked to CHA Somerville Hospital, she found the door to the emergency room locked and called 911. Help, just on the other side of that door, didn't arrive in time.

She died a week later, at 34.

We speak with her husband on understanding the impacts of asthma.

This segment aired on September 18, 2019.
