Drug companies will pay penalties for hiking prescription rates

Medicare is penalizing makers of 64 different prescription drugs for hiking prices faster than the rate of inflation. The penalties are part of the Biden administration's Inflation Reduction Act. It requires drug companies to pay rebates to Medicare if they raise prices faster than inflation.
