In 1962, Mal Goode made history when he became the first African American reporter for a major American TV news network. Goode debuted with a breaking story on the Cuban missile crisis.

Goode died in 1995 and many of his accomplishments were lost to history. But that is now changing with a new biography of the pioneering broadcaster.
