Celtics make 'hard' decision to trade fan-favorite Marcus Smart to boost title chances

Marcus Smart wanted to be a Boston Celtic for life, but business got in the way.

The team traded Smart, who had been with the team since 2014 and embodied the team's hard-nosed reputation, to the Memphis Grizzlies in a deal that netted them a former Rookie of the Year candidate in Kristaps Porzingis.
