June marks a year and a half since the unveiling of 'The Embrace' statue on Boston Common. The large bronze arms encircled in a hug are monument to the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King.

Since its unveiling, the statue had its own detractors. But Imari Paris Jeffries, the CEO and president of the nonprofit Embrace Boston, sees it as a monument to love and he wants to create more just like it.

This segment aired on June 11, 2024.
