Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Which means this Wednesday is a Friday, and it's the second day of our two-part Thanksgiving cooking series with Dorchester’s Comfort Kitchen.

Today’s recipe comes from Comfort Kitchen's principal bartender and bar manager, Danameche Teron, who came by the studio to share one of their signature drinks. It should be a great fit alongside your Thanksgiving meal.

For a spirited version, combine the following ingredients in a shaker:

  • 2 oz. Sorel
  • 1/2 oz. Orange Curaçao
  • 1/2 oz. Clement Creole Shrubb
  • 1/2 oz. coconut simple syrup*
  • 3/4 oz. lime juice

For a free-spirited version, mix the following ingredients in a shaker:

  • 2 oz. Sorel
  • 1 oz. coconut simple syrup*
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 1/4 oz. orange juice

Then, add ice and shake. Strain into a coupe or your favorite glass. And garnish with an edible pansy (or any other edible flower).

*To make coconut simple syrup: Mix coconut milk with cane sugar, using a 2:1 ratio, until well blended and sugar is fully dissolved.
